Grow a tough and reliable Winter Hardy Prickly Pear with this set of 2 unrooted cactus pad cuttings (approximately 3 inches each). This hardy Opuntia variety thrives in poor soil, full sun, and cold climates, making it perfect for outdoor landscapes across much of the U.S.

Once established, plants form low clumping patches with green pads that may turn reddish in winter dormancy. In spring, they produce bright yellow flowers followed by colorful fruit. This cactus spreads naturally and multiplies quickly under the right conditions.

These are cuttings with no roots. Simply allow them to callous and plant in very well-draining soil for easy rooting.

Please note: Pads contain spines and fine glochids. Handle carefully with gloves.

You will receive pads similar in size and health to those shown in the listing photos.

You will receive:
✔️ 2 live prickly pear pad cuttings
✔️ Approximately 3 inches each
✔️ Unrooted, ready to plant
✔️ Cold-hardy perennial variety
✔️ Secure packaging for safe arrival
