Start your own vineyard or backyard grape arbor with these 60 Vitis vinifera seeds. This species is the primary cultivated grape used for over 99% of the world’s wine production and is also grown for table grapes, raisins, and juice.

Vitis vinifera is a vigorous, fast-growing deciduous vine that climbs by means of forked tendrils. When supported on a trellis, arbor, or fence, it can reach 20–50 feet in length. Its large, palmately lobed leaves provide lush summer coverage and turn striking shades of yellow and red in fall.

In early summer, small greenish flowers appear, followed by clusters of edible grapes. While seed-grown plants may vary from named varieties, they are excellent for home vineyards, breeding projects, edible landscaping, and ornamental screening.

Hardy and adaptable, this grapevine tolerates heat, cold, and moderate wind once established. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil and responds well to annual pruning to manage its vigorous growth.
