Grow your own cold-hardy tropical landscape feature with Windmill Palm (Trachycarpus fortunei), one of the most winter-tolerant palms available. Native to mountainous regions of Asia, this evergreen palm delivers a lush tropical look while thriving in cooler climates down to approximately 10°F (Zone 7B).

Windmill Palm forms a slender single trunk wrapped in coarse brown fiber that gradually reveals a smooth, ringed surface with age. Its fan-shaped (palmate) green fronds can reach up to 3 feet across, creating a symmetrical crown 8–10 feet wide. In late winter to early spring, bright yellow flower clusters emerge within the crown. Female plants produce attractive blue fruits by late summer.

Highly adaptable, this palm tolerates cold, heat, moderate drought, and some salt exposure. It performs beautifully as a specimen tree, patio accent, courtyard feature, poolside planting, or container-grown palm. This 30-seed pack is ideal for small groves, landscape projects, or starting multiple container specimens.

You will receive:
