Eleutherococcus seoulensis is a deciduous shrub that contains saponins, acanthosides, cardiac glycosides, and polysaccharides in its root bark. It has adaptogenic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and diuretic properties. It is commonly used in Korea to treat lumbago, neuralgia, arthritis, and edema.

Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours

Stratification: warm stratify for 6 months, cold stratify for 30 days
