Grow a rare and highly desirable avocado variety with this grafted Utuado Avocado Tree, a dwarf, cold-hardy Type B avocado originating from the mountainous Utuado region of Puerto Rico. This variety is prized for its compact growth, heavy productivity, and large fruit size, making it an excellent choice for small gardens, patios, condos, and container growing.
This tree is professionally grafted (not seed-grown) and shipped in soil in a 1-gallon nursery pot, sealed to maintain hydration during transit. Grafting ensures earlier fruiting, predictable quality, and stronger performance compared to seedlings.
⚠️ The tree is mature enough to grow and establish quickly, but may not arrive with flowers or fruit present.

Utuado Avocado Trees thrive in full sun (6–8 hours daily) and require well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Water regularly during establishment, adjusting based on climate and rainfall. This variety performs exceptionally well in containers and can later be transplanted into the ground once established.
⚠️ Sustained temperatures below 18°F may damage foliage, flowers, or the tree itself.
🌱 Transplanting Notes (Important)
-
Do NOT disturb the root ball during transplant
-
Allow 48 hours in partial shade after arrival before full sun

For best results, transplant into a 3–5 gallon pot and grow until the tree reaches 4–6 ft tall before planting in-ground
