Add dramatic summer color and attract hummingbirds with Trumpet Creeper (Campsis radicans). This vigorous, woody vine is native to the Southeastern United States and is well known for its rapid growth and brilliant trumpet-shaped flowers.

Trumpet Creeper quickly climbs 25–40 feet using aerial rootlets that cling to fences, arbors, trellises, and walls. Its glossy green, compound leaves create thick coverage, while clusters of bold red to orange trumpet-shaped blooms appear throughout summer. These nectar-rich flowers are a magnet for hummingbirds and pollinators.

After flowering, long bean-like pods (3–5 inches) develop and split open when mature, releasing numerous winged seeds that disperse by wind. This hardy vine tolerates both heat and cold and adapts easily to most soil types.

⚠️ Important: This is an aggressive, fast-spreading vine that produces underground suckers and self-seeds freely. Best suited for large areas with sturdy support structures.
