Create bold vertical color and attract hummingbirds with Trumpet Creeper (Campsis radicans). This vigorous, woody vine is native to the Southeastern United States and is known for its rapid growth and brilliant trumpet-shaped blooms.

Trumpet Creeper quickly climbs 25–40 feet high using aerial rootlets that cling to walls, fences, arbors, and trellises. It features glossy green, compound leaves up to 15 inches long and produces clusters of vibrant red to orange trumpet-shaped flowers throughout summer. These nectar-rich blooms are irresistible to hummingbirds and other pollinators.

After flowering, long bean-like seed pods (3–5 inches) develop and split open when mature, releasing winged seeds that disperse in the wind. This plant tolerates both heat and cold and thrives in a wide range of soil conditions.

⚠️ Important: This is an aggressive, fast-spreading vine that suckers from underground runners and self-seeds freely. Best suited for large spaces where it has room to grow.
