Spanish Lime (Melicoccus bijugatus), also known as Quenepa, Mamoncillo, Genip, or Limoncillo, is a tropical fruit tree native to northern South America and the Caribbean. Despite its common name, Spanish Lime is not a true lime. It belongs to the soapberry family and is related to lychee and longan.

This listing includes 1 live Spanish Lime plant measuring 1–2 feet tall at the time of shipping, supplied in a 6-inch pot. The tree produces fruit in clusters. The small, smooth-skinned fruits resemble green grapes or miniature limes.

Spanish Lime fruit has translucent, gelatinous flesh that may be salmon-colored, yellow, or green, surrounding a large central seed. Its flavor is known for a distinctive balance of sweetness and tartness.

Plant Condition Disclosure:

Live plants may be shipped dormant, leafless, recently pruned, bare root, or partially defoliated depending on season, weather, and shipping requirements.

Natural variation in size, branching, foliage density, color, root structure, and overall appearance should be expected.

Important Note:

You will receive a live starter plant (seedling/young plant). Listing photos show the plant at a mature stage for reference only. The actual plant size, shape, and appearance may vary and will be significantly smaller than the images shown.
