Add soft elegance and winter beauty to your landscape with Snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus), a hardy native shrub known for its distinctive bright white berries. Few plants produce such pure white fruit, which appear in late summer and often persist through winter, creating striking contrast against bare branches and snowy backdrops.

This multi-stemmed deciduous shrub grows 3–6 feet tall with a rounded, bushy habit. In early summer, clusters of small pinkish tubular flowers bloom along the stems, attracting pollinators. By late summer, waxy white berries develop in clusters and remain on the plant well into winter, providing visual interest and valuable food for birds and wildlife (berries are not for human consumption).

Snowberry thrives in a wide range of soils and conditions, including shade, drought, wind, and cold climates. It performs best in mass plantings, woodland borders, erosion control areas, and naturalized landscapes.
