Establish a beautiful flowering hedge or landscape tree with these 60 Single Seed English Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) seeds. Known for its abundant white spring blossoms and bright red fall fruits (haws), this hardy deciduous tree or large shrub is both ornamental and highly functional.

English Hawthorn grows 15–30 feet tall with a rounded crown and distinctive thorny, zigzag branches. In mid to late spring, clusters of fragrant white flowers cover the tree, followed by small red fruits in early fall. Each fruit contains a single seed and provides valuable winter food for birds such as thrushes and waxwings.

Historically planted as hedgerows throughout England due to its dense, thorny growth, Hawthorn makes an excellent boundary hedge, wildlife shelter, small shade tree, or street tree. The fruits are edible and often used in jellies, jams, syrups, wine, and traditional herbal preparations. Young leaves and flower petals are also edible.

This 60-seed pack is ideal for creating hedgerows, wildlife plantings, windbreaks, or naturalized landscapes.
