Establish an extensive flowering hedge or wildlife corridor with these 240 Single Seed English Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) seeds. This hardy deciduous tree or large shrub is celebrated for its abundant white spring blossoms and bright red fall fruits known as “haws.”

English Hawthorn grows 15–30 feet tall with a rounded crown and dense, thorny, zigzag branches. In mid to late spring, clusters of white 5-petaled flowers cover the tree, creating a striking display. By early fall, small red fruits develop, each containing a single seed. These fruits persist into winter and provide an important food source for birds such as thrushes and waxwings.

Historically planted throughout England as protective hedgerows, Hawthorn’s thorny structure makes it ideal for boundary hedges, windbreaks, privacy screens, wildlife shelterbelts, and naturalized landscapes. It may also be grown as a small ornamental shade tree, street tree, or trained for bonsai. The fruits are edible and commonly used in jellies, jams, syrups, wine, and traditional herbal preparations.

This 240-seed bulk pack is ideal for long hedgerows, farm boundaries, habitat restoration, and larger landscape projects.
