Grow a tough, adaptable, and highly useful shrub with 200 Siberian Pea Tree (Caragana arborescens) seeds. Native to Eastern Russia and Northern China, this multi-stemmed deciduous shrub or small tree thrives in harsh climates and poor soils where many plants fail.

Siberian Pea Tree grows 15–20 feet tall and 12–15 feet wide with bright green, feathery compound leaves. In spring, fragrant yellow pea-like flowers bloom singly or in clusters, attracting bees and beneficial pollinators. Flowers are followed by 3-inch edible pods that mature from yellow-green to brown in summer.

Each pod typically contains 3–4 peas. The seeds are high in protein (up to 36%) and contain beneficial oils. Peas should be cooked before eating. Young pods can be cooked as a vegetable, and flowers may be added to salads for mild pea flavor and color.

This species is especially valued for:

✔ Nitrogen-fixing ability (improves soil fertility)
✔ Windbreaks and shelterbelts
✔ Erosion control (extensive root system)
✔ Wildlife habitat and pollinator support
✔ Deer resistance
✔ Exceptional cold, heat, drought, wind, and salt tolerance

Ideal for permaculture systems, farm hedgerows, homesteads, restoration projects, and challenging sites.

Seeds are securely packaged and labeled.
