Grow a beautiful and productive native shrub with these 30 Saskatoon Serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia) seeds. Also known as Juneberry or Shadbush, this hardy deciduous shrub or small tree produces stunning spring flowers followed by sweet, blueberry-like purple fruit in early summer.

In early spring, slender pink buds burst into clusters of delicate white flowers that cover the branches before the leaves fully emerge. By late June or early July, red-purple berries ripen. The fruit is sweet, juicy, and often compared to a blend of apple and blueberry. Perfect for fresh eating, pies, jams, wine, cider, trail mix, and baking.

In autumn, the foliage turns brilliant shades of yellow-orange to reddish purple, providing striking seasonal color. Serviceberry also attracts birds and beneficial wildlife, making it ideal for edible landscapes and naturalized plantings.
