Grow one of the most admired flowering shrubs with these 150 Royal Azalea (Rhododendron schlippenbachii) seeds. Native to Korea, Manchuria, and Japan, this elegant deciduous shrub is known for its large fragrant blossoms and spectacular autumn foliage.

In spring (April–May), clusters of 3–6 large funnel-shaped flowers bloom at the branch tips as the leaves emerge. Flowers range from pale pink to rose-pink or nearly white, beautifully marked with reddish-brown spotting on the upper lobes. Individual blooms can reach nearly 3½ inches across and fill the air with a light, sweet fragrance.

The foliage grows in distinctive whorls at the ends of branchlets. In fall, leaves transform into stunning shades of yellow, orange, and crimson. Hardy to approximately -25°F, Royal Azalea thrives in cooler climates and woodland-style gardens. Slow growing and refined, it is perfect for bonsai, specimen planting, and shaded landscape borders.

You will receive seeds similar in size and quality to those shown in the listing photos.
