Cotoneaster horizontalis, also known as Rock Cotoneaster or Rockspray Cotoneaster, is a low-growing shrub with shiny dark green leaves that turn reddish-purple in the fall. It produces small pink flowers in early summer and bright scarlet berries in late summer to fall. This plant is a good ground cover, a source of food for birds, and is cultivated as an ornamental plant in gardens and public parks.
Scarification: Pour boiling water over seed , let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: cold stratify for 90 days
Germination: sow seed 3/8" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
