Red Chokeberry ‘Brilliantissima’ (Aronia arbutifolia) is a stunning native shrub prized for its glossy red berries and exceptional crimson fall foliage. This improved cultivar is more compact than the species and produces larger, brighter, and more abundant fruit with superior autumn color.

In spring, clusters of delicate white to soft pink flowers cover the shrub, attracting pollinators. By late summer, dense clusters of shiny red berries develop and persist well into winter, providing outstanding seasonal interest and food for birds. In autumn, the foliage turns intense raspberry to crimson red, rivaling Burning Bush for brilliance.

This hardy, adaptable shrub is ideal for hedges, naturalized plantings, wildlife gardens, windbreaks, or pond edges.
