The Picea crassifolia, also known as the Qinghai Spruce or Thick-Leaf Spruce, is a drought-tolerant conifer native to China. It can grow up to 25 meters tall with a trunk diameter of up to 60 centimeters. Its broad, quadrangular leaves make it an excellent choice for gardens with limited water availability.
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: none required
Germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
