Add bold color and fragrance to your garden with this 20-seed pack of Purple-Flowering Raspberry (Rubus odoratus). This fast-growing native shrub is prized for its large rose-purple flowers, extended summer bloom time, and attractive maple-like foliage.
Blooming from June through August, the 2-inch wide, rose-like flowers are lightly fragrant and highly attractive to butterflies and pollinators. After flowering, small red to purple cup-shaped fruits develop. While softer than commercial raspberries, they are edible and enjoyed by both wildlife and gardeners.
This deciduous, suckering shrub grows 3–6 feet tall and spreads 6–12 feet wide, making it excellent for naturalized areas, shrub borders, wildlife gardens, and erosion control. Unlike many raspberries, stems are hairy but nearly thornless, making maintenance easier.
