Plant Care Guide
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Protect the leaves from harsh direct sunlight, which may cause scorching. Adequate indirect light supports healthy growth, though exact leaf coloration cannot be guaranteed.
Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of potting mix feel dry. Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain. Avoid keeping the soil constantly soggy.
Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is beneficial. Aim for around 60% or higher when practical, while maintaining good airflow to help reduce leaf problems.
Temperature: Keep in a warm environment, ideally around 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Soil: Use a chunky, airy, well-draining aroid mix. A blend containing orchid bark, perlite, and a moisture-retentive component such as coco coir can help balance drainage and moisture.
Fertilizer: During active growth, apply a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer according to the product label. Reduce feeding when growth slows, and avoid overfertilizing.
Growth support: This is a climbing philodendron. A moss pole, coir pole, or sturdy trellis can provide support as it grows.
A Note for Collectors
The lighter “ghost” or mint appearance is especially noticeable on new growth, but leaves may darken as they mature. The amount and persistence of mint coloration can vary, so the exact appearance of future leaves cannot be guaranteed.
Important Plant Safety
Philodendrons contain insoluble calcium oxalate crystals and are toxic if chewed or ingested. Keep this plant away from children and pets, and wash your hands after handling if you have sensitive skin.
