This 800-seed bulk pack of Northern Catalpa (Catalpa speciosa) is perfect for large-scale plantings, windbreaks, restoration projects, property borders, and shade tree rows.
Northern Catalpa is a fast-growing deciduous tree that reaches 40–70 feet tall with a rounded to irregular crown. Its large, heart-shaped leaves (up to 12 inches long) provide bold texture and dense summer shade. In late spring (May–June), impressive upright clusters of orchid-like white flowers bloom, beautifully marked with purple and yellow inside each blossom.
After flowering, long slender seedpods (10–22 inches) develop and often persist into winter, earning the tree its nickname “Cigar Tree.” Northern Catalpa thrives in a wide range of soil conditions and tolerates heat, cold, drought, seasonal flooding, and urban environments.
An excellent choice for shade, street planting, wildlife habitat, and tough landscape areas.
