This 400-seed bulk pack of Northern Catalpa (Catalpa speciosa) is ideal for larger landscaping projects, windbreak plantings, property lines, and reforestation efforts.
Northern Catalpa is a fast-growing deciduous tree that matures to 40–70 feet tall with a rounded to irregular crown. Its bold, heart-shaped leaves (up to 12 inches long) create dense summer shade. In late spring (May–June), striking upright clusters of orchid-like white flowers bloom, each blossom accented with purple and yellow markings.
Following flowering, long slender seedpods (10–22 inches) develop and persist into fall and winter, giving rise to its well-known nickname, “Cigar Tree.” Catalpa is highly adaptable and thrives in a wide range of soil types, tolerating heat, cold, drought, seasonal flooding, and urban conditions.
An excellent choice for shade, street plantings, wildlife areas, and challenging landscape sites.
