This 200-seed pack of Northern Catalpa (Catalpa speciosa) is ideal for larger landscape projects, property borders, reforestation, or shade tree plantings.

Northern Catalpa is a fast-growing deciduous tree that matures to 40–70 feet tall with a rounded to irregular crown. Its large, heart-shaped leaves (up to 12 inches long) create bold tropical-looking foliage. In late spring (May–June), upright clusters of orchid-like white flowers bloom, marked with purple and yellow spotting inside each bell-shaped blossom.

After flowering, long slender seedpods (10–22 inches) develop and persist into fall and winter, giving the tree its nickname “Cigar Tree.” Catalpa is highly adaptable and thrives in urban conditions, tolerating cold, heat, drought, seasonal flooding, and poor soils.

An excellent lawn, street, or shade tree that performs well even in challenging planting locations.
