About the Nancy Garrison Strain

• Selected for Fruit Quality: Chosen by growers for its good-quality fruit and dependable production.

• Productive Growth: Reported to produce fruit over an extended season under suitable growing conditions.

• Growing Characteristics: Described as daylength-neutral or potentially sensitive to chilling requirements for flower initiation.

• Seedling-Selected Strain: Nancy Garrison is a selected strain rather than a genetically identical clone. It has been reselected from seedlings over time.

A Little Growing History

The original plant associated with this selection reportedly came from an old, established passion fruit vine discovered in a farmhouse garden in San Jose, California.

Cuttings from that original plant contributed to the selection's history. The strain was subsequently selected again from seedlings by growers to maintain desirable growing and fruiting characteristics.
