This 5400-seed bulk pack of Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia) is ideal for large-scale woodland restoration, conservation projects, native plant nurseries, and mass landscape installations. One of the most celebrated evergreen flowering shrubs of eastern North America, Mountain Laurel delivers breathtaking spring blooms and year-round foliage.
Naturally growing in rocky and sandy woodland soils, this broadleaf evergreen forms a dense, rounded shrub typically 5–15 feet tall and wide. With age, plants develop sculptural branching and may occasionally grow into a small tree reaching up to 30 feet tall.
In May, large terminal flower clusters (up to 6 inches across) blanket the shrub in bloom. Each cup-shaped flower (about 1 inch wide) has five distinct sides and ranges from rose to white with intricate purple markings inside. Small brown capsules follow and may persist into winter.
Its leathery, glossy dark green leaves remain attractive throughout the year, making Mountain Laurel an outstanding choice for woodland gardens, naturalized areas, shrub borders, and extensive native habitat plantings. It pairs beautifully with rhododendrons and azaleas in acidic soils.
⚠️ Note: All parts of this plant are toxic if ingested.
