The Cotoneaster coriaceus, also known as the Milkflower Cotoneaster or Parney Cotoneaster, is a hardy evergreen shrub that can withstand cold temperatures as low as -15°C. It is attractive to bees and many species of birds and can thrive in various soil types, including lime, peaty, dry, and heavy clay soils. This versatile plant is also tolerant of atmospheric pollution and maritime exposure, making it a great addition to any garden.
Scarification: Clean dried berry from seed then soak in sulfuric or nitric acid for 1-2 hours and wash under cold water for 10-15 minutes.
Stratification: cold stratify for 90 days
Germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
