The bright yellow fruit weigh approximately 10–18 oz and have a flattened oblong shape. When properly ripened, the deep orange flesh is completely fiber-free, intensely sweet, rich, and highly aromatic with hints of citrus and melon. This variety is especially popular among chefs and has received recognition at the Fairchild International Mango Festival for its outstanding taste.

Mallika mangoes are harvested mature-green and ripened off the tree at temperatures above 70°F for 2–3 weeks to achieve peak flavor. Once fully ripened, fruit may be refrigerated. Excellent for fresh eating, juices, and dehydrated slices with a distinctive honey-like sweetness.
