Grow your own sweet, vibrant fruit with these Japanese Persimmon (Diospyros kaki) seeds. This beautiful deciduous fruit tree is prized for its large, bright orange fruits, fragrant spring flowers, and stunning fall foliage in shades of gold, red, and orange.

Reaching 20–30 feet tall with a rounded spreading crown, Japanese Persimmon is both ornamental and productive. In late fall, after the leaves drop, the tree becomes a breathtaking display of glowing orange fruit hanging throughout the branches. Fruits can be eaten fresh when fully ripe or used in baking, drying (hoshigaki), jams, syrups, and desserts. Leaves may even be used for tea.

This species is moderately drought tolerant once established and adapts to a range of soil types, making it an excellent addition to home orchards, edible landscapes, or as a striking specimen tree.
