Plant a stunning, fast-growing deciduous conifer with these 400 Japanese Larch seeds. Larix kaempferi (also known as Larix leptolepis) is admired for its soft blue-green needles, brilliant golden fall color, and reddish exfoliating bark.

Unlike most conifers, Japanese Larch sheds its needles in autumn. Before dropping, the foliage transforms into a glowing golden display that makes this tree stand out in large landscapes. In early spring, colorful male and female strobili appear, followed by distinctive rosebud-like cones that mature to warm brown.

This tree naturally grows on volcanic mountain slopes in Japan and thrives in cool climates with moist, slightly acidic soil. Under ideal conditions, it may reach:
• 20 feet in about 15 years
• 50 feet in roughly 40 years
• 80–90 feet at maturity

With a mature spread of 30–40 feet, Japanese Larch is ideal for parks, campuses, estate lawns, reforestation projects, windbreaks, and large open landscapes. It is also popular for bonsai due to its graceful structure and seasonal needle color change.

Best planted in full sun with well-drained soil. It does not tolerate hot, dry climates or waterlogged conditions.

You will receive:
✔️ 400 Japanese Larch seeds
✔️ Fresh, untreated seeds
✔️ Clearly labeled seed packet
✔️ Basic germination instructions
✔️ Secure packaging for safe delivery
