Establish a stunning deciduous conifer with brilliant seasonal color using these 1600 Japanese Larch seeds. Larix kaempferi (also known as Larix leptolepis) is widely regarded as one of the finest larches in cultivation, prized for its glowing golden fall foliage, reddish exfoliating bark, and elegant open conical shape.

Unlike most conifers, Japanese Larch is deciduous, shedding its soft blue-green needles each autumn after they turn a vibrant golden yellow. In early spring, colorful male and female strobili appear in shades of red, pink, yellow, and green, followed by distinctive rosebud-shaped cones that mature to warm brown.

This fast-growing tree thrives in cool climates with moist, slightly acidic soil. Under favorable conditions, it may reach:
• 20 feet in approximately 15 years
• 50 feet in about 40 years
• 80–90 feet at maturity

With a mature spread of 30–40 feet, Japanese Larch is ideal for large-scale reforestation, windbreaks, estate plantings, parks, campuses, and forestry projects. It is also suitable for bonsai when carefully pruned and maintained.

This species prefers full sun and well-drained soil with consistent moisture. It does not tolerate hot climates, prolonged drought, or waterlogged soils.

You will receive:

✔️ Fresh, untreated seeds
✔️ Clearly labeled seed packet
