Create a productive berry garden with this Honeyberry Variety Collection featuring four popular cultivars: Aurora, Berry Blue, Boreal Beauty, and Boreal Blizzard. These 3-year-old gallon-grown honeyberry plants (Lonicera caerulea) are hardy fruiting shrubs known for their flavorful elongated blue berries and extremely early harvest season.
Also known as haskap or blue honeysuckle, honeyberries produce berries with a unique taste often described as a blend of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and hints of kiwi. These nutrient-rich berries are packed with antioxidants and vitamins and are perfect for fresh eating, smoothies, jams, desserts, or even homemade wine.
Honeyberries are becoming a favorite among gardeners because they are extremely cold hardy, easy to grow, and adaptable to many soil conditions. Unlike blueberries, they do not require highly acidic soil and grow well in soils with pH levels between 5.5–8.
This 4-plant variety set provides excellent cross-pollination, improving fruit production and overall harvest yields. Honeyberries bloom early in spring and often produce fruit weeks before strawberries, making them one of the earliest berries to harvest each season.
These plants are currently semi-dormant and will be shipped out of the pot with roots wrapped and protected with minimal planting medium for safe transportation. Each plant is gallon-grown and pruned to approximately 14–18 inches tall for shipping.
