Grow a majestic mountain evergreen with 800 Himalayan Spruce (Picea smithiana) seeds, also known as Morinda Spruce. This tall, pyramidal conifer is admired for its horizontal branching and long, gracefully drooping branchlets that create a beautiful weeping appearance. Native to the Western Himalayas from Afghanistan to Nepal and Tibet, it brings dramatic structure and year-round greenery to large landscapes.
Himalayan Spruce can reach 70–100 feet tall with a 20–30 foot spread at maturity. Its needle-like green leaves are four-angled and surround the branches densely. Mature trees produce shiny brown-purple pendulous cones up to 6 inches long. The bark develops a scaly gray texture, enhancing its rugged ornamental appeal.
Cold tolerant and moderately drought resistant once established, this species performs best in climates with cooler summers. It is an excellent specimen tree for spacious properties and can also be trained as bonsai while young. You will receive seeds similar in quality and viability to those shown in the listing photos.
