About Hardee Avocado

Hardee produces large, attractive red-skinned avocados with good eating quality. Its early-season harvest and distinctive fruit color make it stand out among avocado varieties.

One unusual characteristic is its small seed, which becomes loose inside the fruit when ripe. This can allow the seed to move around and bruise the flesh during commercial transportation. Although this trait makes the variety less popular for large-scale shipping, Hardee is still grown commercially on a smaller scale in South Florida for its unique appearance, early harvest, and eating quality.

Why Grow Hardee?

• Distinctive red-skinned avocado fruit

• Large fruit

• Early-season variety

• Small, loose seed when ripe

• Grafted tree for your home orchard or fruit tree collection
