Crataegus succulenta, also known as Fleshy Hawthorn or Succulent Hawthorn, is a deciduous shrub that grows up to six meters tall and is found in southern Canada and the United States. Its flowers bloom from May to June and are pollinated by Midges, resulting in small fruit that is highly valued for making jellies. The plant is adaptable to different soil types, prefers semi-shaded areas, and can tolerate both dry and moist conditions, but is not tolerant of maritime exposure and atmospheric pollution.
