A Beautiful, Low-Water Garden Shrub

Dark Star Ceanothus is a popular California lilac cultivar known for its dramatic spring flowers and relatively low summer water needs once established. Its dense growth and generous mature width make it a wonderful choice when you want both ornamental beauty and garden structure.

Deer generally find it less appealing than some other plants, although no shrub is completely deer-proof.
