Grow your own Colorado Pinyon Pine from seed and enjoy a rugged, long-lived evergreen valued for its edible pine nuts and drought tolerance. Native to the Southwestern United States, Pinus cembroides edulis thrives in dry woodlands, mesas, and mountain slopes at elevations of 4,000–9,000 feet.

This slow-growing evergreen develops a rounded, bushy crown and typically matures at 30–45 feet tall with a 20–30 foot spread. Its short, thick blue-green needles and symmetrical form make it an excellent specimen tree, windbreak, privacy screen, or bonsai subject.

Colorado Pinyon produces large, flavorful edible pine nuts that are prized for roasting, baking, and cooking. The seeds are also an important wildlife food source for birds, squirrels, deer, and other native species.

The 240-seed pack is ideal for large plantings, windbreak rows, habitat restoration, nursery starts, or homestead nut production projects.

You will receive seeds similar in quality to those shown in the listing photos.
