Grow a productive and resilient native cactus with this 12-pad pack of Opuntia littoralis (Coastal Prickly Pear). Each pad measures approximately 4–7 inches tall and is ready to plant. This fast-growing groundcover opuntia spreads into a dense mat, producing abundant new pads and fruit each year.

Native to Baja California and naturalized along coastal California, this species thrives in hot, dry climates and tolerates temperatures from approximately 15°F to 120°F once established. It produces large red prickly pear fruit, edible pads (nopales), and beautiful blooms.

Unlike some opuntia varieties, Coastal Prickly Pear has a milder flavor and is excellent grilled or cooked. It is also widely used for xeriscaping, erosion control, and natural fencing.

Plants have been organically cared for, with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers used.

You will receive pads similar in size and health to those shown in the listing photos.
