Grow a rare and dramatic landscape tree with these Chinese Wingnut (Pterocarya stenoptera) seeds. Known for its rapid growth and impressive size, this deciduous shade tree develops a broad spreading canopy with pendulous branches and striking dangling clusters of winged seeds.

In late spring to early summer, long green “necklaces” of developing winged nutlets hang gracefully from the branches, later turning brown in fall. Its large compound leaves create dense summer shade, making it a strong candidate for parks, large properties, and spacious landscapes. Highly adaptable and tolerant of wind, compacted soils, and moderate drought, Chinese Wingnut is an excellent specimen tree for expansive planting areas.

This small 5-seed pack is ideal for collectors, rare tree enthusiasts, and bonsai experimentation.

You will receive seeds similar in quality to those shown in the listing photos.
