Pseudocydonia sinensis, also known as Chinese Quince, is a deciduous or semi-evergreen tree native to eastern Asia in China. It is closely related to the Chaenomeles genus and the European Quince genus, but has notable differences such as lack of thorns and serrated leaves. The fruit of the Chinese Quince is eaten as a sweetmeat, candied, preserved in syrup, or made into a liqueur, and the tree is also grown as an ornamental tree in southern Europe.
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: cold stratify for 90 days
Germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil, mulch the seed bed
