The Austrocedrus chilensis, also known as the Chilean Cedar, is a unique and exotic conifer tree that can be a stunning addition to any garden. Native to central-southern Chile and western Argentina, it can grow up to 65 ft tall and 5 ft in diameter. With its thick gray bark and spiral arrangement of needles, it has an attractive appearance and is known for its adaptability to different soils and climates, making it low-maintenance.
Scarification: Soak in water, let stand in water for 24 hours
Stratification: cold stratify for 90 days
Germination: sow seed 1/4" deep, tamp the soil, keep moist, mulch the seed bed
