Grow a unique and nutritious berry in your garden with this Boreal Beauty Honeyberry (Lonicera caerulea) 3-year live plant, gallon-grown and carefully pruned for safe shipping. Also known as haskap or blue honeysuckle, honeyberries produce elongated deep-blue berries with a rich flavor often described as a blend of blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, and subtle kiwi notes.
The Boreal Beauty variety is known for its excellent fruit quality, large berries, and reliable production, making it a favorite among home gardeners and berry enthusiasts. These hardy shrubs bloom very early in spring and typically produce fruit weeks before strawberries, making them one of the earliest berries harvested each season.
These plants are currently dormant and will be shipped out of the pot with roots wrapped and protected with minimal planting medium for safe transportation. Each plant is gallon-grown and pruned to approximately 16–20 inches tall for shipping.
⚠️ Important: Honeyberries require two compatible varieties for cross-pollination and fruit production. Boreal Beauty performs best when planted near another honeyberry variety such as Boreal Beast, Aurora, or Berry Blue that blooms at the same time.
Honeyberries are easy to grow and more adaptable than blueberries, since they do not require highly acidic soil and can grow in a wide pH range.
