Establish a large orchard or reforestation planting with this bulk pack of 5400 Black Mulberry seeds. Morus nigra is highly prized for its rich, sweet-tart flavor and large, dark red to deep purple-black fruits—considered the finest tasting of all mulberry species.

This ornamental and productive deciduous tree typically grows 20–30 feet tall with a broad, spreading canopy that provides excellent shade. Extremely long-lived, Black Mulberry trees can produce fruit for generations. They thrive in full sun and tolerate a wide range of soils including rocky, dry, alkaline, and exposed sites. Once established, they are tolerant of wind, salt, and moderate drought.

Fruit ripens from July through September and can be eaten fresh or used in pies, jams, syrups, wine, desserts, and dried snacks. The tree is also highly attractive to birds and wildlife, making it ideal for orchards, homesteads, naturalized landscapes, and conservation plantings. Suitable for bonsai cultivation as well.
