Add a hardy and unique berry to your edible garden with this Berry Blue Honeyberry (Lonicera caerulea) 3-year live plant, gallon-grown and pruned for secure shipping. Also known as haskap or blue honeysuckle, honeyberries produce elongated deep blue fruits with a flavor often described as a blend of blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, and subtle kiwi notes.
Honeyberries are gaining popularity among home gardeners due to their exceptional cold tolerance, early fruiting season, and low-maintenance growing requirements. These shrubs bloom early in spring and often produce fruit weeks before strawberries, making them one of the earliest berries to harvest each year.
These plants are currently dormant and will be shipped out of the pot with roots wrapped and protected with minimal planting medium for safe transportation. Each plant is gallon-grown and pruned to approximately 14 inches tall for shipping.
⚠️ Important: Honeyberries require two different compatible varieties for cross-pollination and fruit production. Berry Blue is commonly paired with other honeyberry varieties such as Aurora or Tundra for better yields.
