Introduce one of the most impressively large and high-yielding tropical varieties to your home garden with our premium pack of 150++ Bangkok Papaya (Carica papaya L.) seeds. Renowned throughout Southeast Asia for its staggering fruit size and exceptional weight, the 'Bangkok' variety (often called the Giant Thai Papaya) is highly celebrated by home gardeners and commercial growers alike. Beneath its thick, smooth, skin—which turns a beautiful speckled golden-yellow when fully ripe—lies an incredibly thick, firm, and vibrant orange-red flesh. Because of its massive size, it offers a remarkably high flesh-to-seed ratio, delivering a clean, refreshing, and deeply satisfying sweetness with a smooth texture that is perfect for fresh slicing, tropical salads, or smoothies.

Our select package contains 150++ high-viability, freshly harvested seeds chosen specifically for their superior genetic purity, excellent seedling vigor, and heavy-fruiting potential. The Bangkok Papaya tree grows into a strong, robust, and fast-maturing tropical plant capable of supporting an enormous weight of elongated, giant fruits hanging along its sturdy trunk. Highly prolific and adaptable to warm environments, this exceptional variety is an absolute must-have for food forests, backyard orchards, or spacious garden plots looking to maximize their tropical harvest yields.

You will receive: ✔️ 150++ Premium-quality fresh Bangkok Papaya seeds ✔️ Hand-selected and meticulously washed to ensure optimal viability and robust sprouting ✔️ Packaged in professional, moisture-controlled botanical sachets to maintain long-term freshness ✔️ Easy-to-follow tropical papaya germination and early tree management guide included

🌿 Cultivation & Care Information

  • Botanical Name: Carica papaya L. (Var. Bangkok Giant)

  • Common Name: Bangkok Papaya / Giant Thai Papaya / Big-Size Sweet Papaya

  • Plant Type: Fast-growing, herbaceous perennial tropical fruit tree

  • Sun Requirements: Full sun (Essential: Demands maximum, intense, direct sunlight daily—at least 6–8 hours—to fuel its rapid vegetative growth, support heavy stalk weight, and concentrate sugars within the massive fruits).

  • Soil / Medium: Requires deep, rich, organic, and exceptionally well-draining soils. Highly sensitive to waterlogged roots or standing water, which can cause root rot within days; a soil pH between 6.0 and 6.5 is ideal.

  • Watering: Requires regular, deep watering to support its rapid growth and large, heavy fruits, keeping the soil evenly moist. However, always ensure excellent drainage so the roots never sit in stagnant, soggy soil. Reduce watering slightly during cooler seasons.

  • Growth Habit: A robust, single-trunk tropical tree that grows quickly, featuring a beautiful canopy of large, deeply-lobed tropical leaves. It sets fruit prolifically along the upper trunk, requiring strong structural health to support the large, elongated fruit load.

  • Temperature: Thrives continuously in warm, humid, tropical and subtropical climates (75°F to 95°F / 24°C to 35°C). Growth slows down dramatically below 60°F (15°C), and the plant cannot tolerate any frost or freezing conditions.

💡 Pro Growing Tip

Papaya seeds sprout beautifully when given constant warmth and humidity. To break dormancy and speed up the process, soak your Bangkok Papaya seeds in warm water for 24 hours to soften the tough outer seed coat. Sow the seeds 1/4 inch deep directly into starter pots filled with a loose, sterile, well-draining seed-starting mix (papayas dislike transplant shock, so biodegradable pots are excellent). Place the pots in a warm, sunny location or on a germination heat mat maintained at 75°F–85°F (24°C–29°C), keeping the soil lightly damp. Your vigorous green shoots will push through the soil confidently in just 10 to 14 days!
