Grow a striking and resilient desert native with these 5 Banana Yucca (Yucca baccata) seeds. This hardy evergreen shrub is prized for its dramatic sword-shaped blue-green leaves, showy flower stalks, and large edible fruits.

Banana Yucca is a slow-growing evergreen shrub or small tree that typically reaches 4–6 feet tall. In its early years, it forms a dense basal clump of long, sharply pointed leaves with decorative curling white fibers along the margins. Over time, a short trunk develops, lifting the dramatic leaf rosette above the ground.

In late spring to early summer, tall flower stalks emerge bearing clusters of creamy white, bell-shaped flowers often tinged with purple. These blooms are followed by large, fleshy, banana-like edible fruits (4–9 inches long) containing flat black seeds. The plant is extremely tolerant of heat, drought, wind, salt, and poor soils, making it ideal for xeriscaping and dry gardens.

You will receive seeds similar in size and quality to those shown in the listing photos.
