Ginkgo biloba 'Autumn Gold' – Fruitless Maidenhair Tree

Bring spectacular seasonal color to your landscape with the 'Autumn Gold' Ginkgo! This beautiful deciduous tree is admired for its distinctive fan-shaped leaves and brilliant golden-yellow fall display.

Its deeply veined foliage emerges bright green in spring and transforms into luminous golden yellow in autumn. One of its most memorable features is its tendency to drop its leaves all at once, creating a beautiful golden carpet beneath the tree.

What You Will Receive

  • Quantity: 1 live Ginkgo tree

  • Plant height: Approximately 1–2 feet

  • Pot size: 6-inch nursery pot

  • Botanical name: Ginkgo biloba 'Autumn Gold'

  • Type: Male cultivar

Why Choose 'Autumn Gold'?

  • Brilliant fall color: Bright green spring and summer foliage turns golden yellow in autumn.

  • Distinctive leaves: Deeply veined, fan-shaped leaves create an unmistakable appearance.

  • Fruitless selection: 'Autumn Gold' is an all-male clone, so it does not produce the fleshy, foul-smelling seeds associated with female Ginkgo trees.

  • Living fossil: Ginkgo is an ancient tree lineage with a distinctive place in plant history.

  • Seasonal beauty: Its golden fall foliage creates a striking landscape display.

Growing and Garden Uses

Ginkgo makes a distinctive ornamental shade tree and can become a long-lived landscape feature. Choose a planting location with enough room for its mature size, and provide suitable growing conditions as the tree establishes.

Live Plant Shipping Notes
