American Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum trilobum) is a hardy and adaptable North American native shrub prized for its beautiful white spring flowers, vibrant fall foliage, and bright red edible berries. Although not a true cranberry, its tart fruits resemble cranberries and are commonly used in jams, jellies, and sauces.

In spring, flat-topped clusters of white flowers appear, featuring a ring of larger sterile blooms surrounding smaller fertile inner flowers. By fall, drooping clusters of glossy red berries develop, adding long-lasting ornamental interest and providing an excellent food source for birds and wildlife. The attractive three-lobed, maple-like leaves turn striking shades of yellow-red to reddish-purple in autumn.
