American Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum trilobum) is a hardy, adaptable North American native shrub valued for its beautiful spring blooms, brilliant fall foliage, and clusters of bright red edible berries. Though not related to true cranberries, its tart fruits resemble them in appearance and are commonly used in jams, jellies, and sauces.

In spring, this deciduous shrub produces flat-topped clusters of white flowers with a distinctive outer ring of larger sterile blooms surrounding smaller fertile inner flowers. By autumn, drooping clusters of glossy red berries develop, providing ornamental interest and an important food source for birds and wildlife. The attractive three-lobed, maple-like leaves turn vibrant shades of yellow-red to reddish-purple in fall.
