American Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum trilobum) is a hardy and adaptable North American native shrub prized for its showy white spring flowers, brilliant fall foliage, and clusters of bright red edible berries. Although not a true cranberry, its tart fruits resemble cranberries and are widely used in jams, jellies, and sauces.

In spring, this deciduous shrub produces flat-topped clusters of white flowers with a distinctive outer ring of larger sterile blooms surrounding smaller fertile inner flowers. By autumn, drooping clusters of glossy red berries develop, adding lasting ornamental appeal and providing valuable food for birds and wildlife. The three-lobed, maple-like leaves turn vibrant shades of yellow-red to reddish-purple in fall.
