Establish your own cranberry patch with this pack of 300 American Cranberry seeds. Vaccinium macrocarpon is a low-growing, trailing evergreen shrub and the original source of commercial cranberries. Ideal for edible landscapes, bog gardens, ground cover, and acid-loving planting beds.
This mat-forming plant grows about 12 inches tall and spreads 3–4 feet, creating a lush carpet of glossy foliage. Leaves emerge bronzy in spring, deepen to dark green in summer, and turn rich bronze shades again in fall and winter.
In late spring to early summer, nodding fuchsia-pink flowers appear with distinctive turned-back petals. By September through October, bright red edible berries mature and can be harvested for sauces, baking, or fresh use. The fruit also provides valuable food for birds and wildlife. Best suited for cooler climates with consistently moist, acidic soil.
