Grow your own Adam’s Needle (Yucca filamentosa) — a striking, evergreen shrub valued for its bold architectural form and dramatic creamy white flower stalks.
This slow-growing, virtually stemless plant forms a dense basal rosette of rigid, sword-shaped, spine-tipped green leaves up to 30 inches long. Distinctive curly white filaments along the leaf margins give it unique texture and ornamental appeal.
In late spring to early summer, mature plants produce impressive flower stalks rising 5–8 feet tall (occasionally taller in warm climates), topped with nodding bell-shaped creamy white blooms. When planted in groups, they resemble glowing white candles across the landscape — often called “Our Lord’s Candles.”
Extremely durable and adaptable, Adam’s Needle thrives in:
• Cold climates (Zone 5 hardy)
• Intense heat and drought
• Sandy and poor soils
• Coastal salt spray
• Wind and exposed areas
Ideal for xeriscaping, rock gardens, dry slopes, foundation plantings, borders, and large-scale landscape projects. Flowers attract butterflies, and the plant provides valuable wildlife habitat.
This 800-seed pack is excellent for bulk planting, nursery production, landscape installations, erosion control projects, and wholesale growers.
